One Nite in Mongkok
One Nite in Mongkok is the kind of film that has been done
so often that a viewer could probably write most of the scenario themselves.
scenario there is a car crash. This crash leads to an assassin (Daniel Wu) being
hired to come to Hong Kong to do a hit. The assassin, however, is set up by a
greedy crook who gets caught and strikes a deal with the cops. The cops follow
every lead but the assassin is too smart. He has also hooked up with a local
prostitute (Cecilia Cheung) [with a heart of gold] who escorts him around the
densely populated area known as Mongkok.
He's actually more interested in finding his girlfriend - who unbeknownst to him
- has been in a terrible car crash that opens the film.

In Germany it's called Die Niebelung and it ran three hours as a TV Here in the U.S. it's called Dark Kingdom: The Dragon King, and no Starring German woodblock Benno Furmann and B-movie vixen Kristanna Loken,

mini-series. In the UK it played theatrically under the title The Sword of
Xanten. If you happen to be in South Africa (which is where the flick was
shot), the title you'll want to remember is The Curse of the Ring.
matter what the flick's actual name is, the story is based on numerous ancient
Nordic legends, including a few that helped inspire Tolkien to write The Lord
of the Rings. Yep, it's a magic / dragons / swords / romance / treachery

with a dynamic style. His art could easily be considered "lively" thanks to the
scribbled appearance, sporadic animation, and colored pencil that is employed.
He is best known for his animated shorts and once you see a few of them you'll
realize that his creativity defies conventionalism. Because of this he has
