Based on a true story, Remember The
Titans is a compelling movieabout a high school football team in Alexandria,
Virginia that is suddenlyforced into racial integration in 1971- a very
turbulent period for doingso. Coach Herman Boone (Denzel Washington), an
African-American, isnamed the head coach by the board, making things even more
uncomfortable forthe white community, and in the process demoting current head
coach BillYoast (Will Patton) to assistant coach. The current players
arequickly angry at both the prospects of losing their current playingpositions
as well as losing a winning coach they admire. This doesn't sitwell for either
